Tony Vani & Kenny Pauze

Tony Vani and Kenny Pauze, a relatively new and established duo in the Quinte area blues scene but certainly not new to the music world; two highly seasoned musicians paired in this sizzling acoustic format.

Over the past 18 years The Weber Brothers have recorded 15 independent albums and toured extensively throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. In October 2012 the brothers were invited to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame American Music Masters Tribute to Chuck Berry in Cleveland where they shared the stage with Merle Haggard, Lemmy Kilmister, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Rick Derringer, Joe Bonamassa, Earl Slick, Steve Jordan and the father of Rock and Roll himself, Chuck Berry.

Also highly regarded for their proficiency as studio musicians, the brothers have recorded on hundreds of outside projects, including work with Gordon Lightfoot, Kris Kristofferson, Ronnie Hawkins and Willie Nelson. The Weber Brothers along with Emily Burgess, a renown singer and guitarist, will be a welcome addition to the Downtown Belleville Blues Festival.

Emily Burgess has spent the last 15 years working as a guitarist for groups including The Weber Brothers, The 24th Street Wailers, Rita Chiarelli, Sue Foley, the Women’s Blues Revue Band and more. Independently, she is a passionate songwriter, releasing her third studio album, ‘Arrow’, in October 2023. Her trio, with Marcus Browne on drums and Dawson McManus on bass, packs an original sound full of inspired rhythm, heavenly harmonies, and gritty guitar solos.

Camilo Restrepo

Camilo Restrepo offers a unique and powerful performance of blues and folk music. He engages audiences with his soulful voice and captivating guitar playing, delivering a truly unforgettable experience.

Paul Denyes

Paul Denyes, musicologist, former board member and vice president of the Toronto Blues Society will be giving a workshop on blues history and its influences.

Angelina Hunter Trio

Something for everyone, but always from the heart.

This perfectly describes the Angelina Hunter Trio, three lifelong friends and mainstays of the Canadian music scene. The band has grown and cultivated their sound around the personality and stylings of Angelina Hunter on vocals and guitar. When she plugs in her Stratocaster, expect a wide range of style, emotion, and power. She can lull you in with sweet melodies and sear you with razor sharp blues attitude and screaming guitar lines.

Angelina has the power to shrink a venue or blow it up with her voice alone. Totally unique, when she begins to sing, she sounds like no one else. She can tell a sweet story with her voice or bewitch you with its intensity. It’s a powerful instrument on its own. The Trio is rounded out by Sandy Hunter on drums and Adam Bell on bass.
The band is on an upward trajectory since their nomination for Best New Group at the 2024 Maple Blues Awards where Angelina was one of the few selected featured artists performing at the gala. The band has been performing at many festivals including the Kitchener Blues Festival, the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival, the Kemptville Live Music Festival as well as many performances at the Ottawa Bluesfest and more.

The eclectic but powerful blues based trio is a real melting pot of influences and many years of perfecting musical and stage craft have seen the “AHT” (as dubbed by their fans) win over audiences with their contemporary take on the blues throughout Canada.

On September 29, 2023, The Angelina Hunter Trio released their sophomore full-length album, LET IT SLIDE.  This sees the band dancing across genres into a platter of vast influences, from soaring romantic blues ballads, to all out fun, to down and dirty blues rockers.  However, as wide as the scope is, it is deliberate, unfettered Angelina Hunter Trio.

Ron Nicholas

Rons focus for the upcoming “Belleville Blues Festival” workshop” will be on simple beginnings, to more advanced techniques for electric as well as acoustic finger-style guitar. Topics included will be; a brief history of the guitar, individual artists of major influence, various individual artists of major influence, various styles with demonstrations on lead and accompaniment.

Patrick Fockler

Growing up in Stirling, ON Patrick Fockler’s grandfather used to buy crates of records and bring them up to the cottage where they had hundreds to listen to. Fockler would spend his summers going through them and listening to everything. He particularly gravitated to the Beatles and other rock ’n’ roll albums. Years later, as he learned more about the history of music, he stumbled onto the blues, the roots of rock ’n’ roll. He dove into the blues and found his passion in that genre. “I realized the blues is where it all came from,” he said. Today the young Patrick resides in New Market, ON., where he is crushing it in festivals, clubs and concerts. He performs as a solo, with Mojo Train and his own band, The Patrick Fockler Band.
