Born in 1983, and raised in Roslin Ontario, Shawn “Deepwater” Dore had lots of exposure to music very early in life. He had his first guitar at age 5 and spent as much time honing his craft, as most kids would have with toys or video games. Since then, “the more I’ve learned, the more I love to play!” In his early years, Shawn would tag along with his father (also a musician) and sneak into the bars to check out all the great local acts. This gave Shawn all the inspiration that he needed to spend countless hours jamming to every album that he could get his hands on. At the age of 13 Shawn was already sitting in with industry professionals, and by the time he was 20 he was playing major venues and festivals. Over the years, Shawn has played in many different bands and performed many different styles of music, “but nothing makes me feel as good as playing music that I feel closest to my heart, and that’s the blues.” Having the opportunity to show on many major stages such as the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee, the Kingston Limestone City Blues Festival, The Frankford Island Blues Festival, The Fenelon Falls Blues Festival, and Wakefest in Wakefield Quebec, Shawn continues to awe the crowds with his barebones traditional sounds, and delivering every note with heart and soul. Shawn is also currently touring with the Shawn Dore Band.

The Fabulous Tonemasters are Gerry Archer, guitar and vocals, JP Hovercraft, bass and vocals, Gord Girvan on keyboards and vocals, and the heartbeat of the band, Albert`Bert`Dobrini on drums. There has been a version of The Tonemasters for over fifteen years now, but this iteration has come into it’s own. Borrowing heavily from Gerry’s early influences, they have moulded a potent gumbo of funk, blues, and R&B that is very infectious. Add to that Gerry’s rabid quest for the ultimate guitar tones, you get an idea of what your in for.
